710 SF Addition + Remodel; Completed in 2007
Reorganizing this home to improve the home's flow and integration of spaces involved transforming the first floor master suite into a family room and creating a second floor master suite. Rearranged walls and openings create more appropriate connections between spaces and reorient rooms. Marginal spaces, like a sloped roof area and the back recesses of the garage, are mined to provide new living space without expanding the home's footprint. The master suite opens to both the east and west with balconies. Daylight penetrates deeper into the home with new skylights, clerestory windows, and interior openings.
